I would question whether the protein was high enough for most dogs. I feed my dogs raw beef, chicken and fish to be sure they get all the essential amino acids they need. The canned has real meat and veggies in it and looks like something a person could eat. They love the kibbles as well, though the "lean" a bit less, and go crazy for all of the treats/bones.... Additionally, it's quite inexpensive compared to even the junkiest of stuff in the grocery store. I drive 45+ minutes just to make sure they have this food. My mini beagle is especially enamored of it, and will eat all three dogs' bowls-full if I let him get away with it.
